Here you will find a collections of tools and helpful links that we use at Lakeshore Transportation some of them will be more useful than others, if you feel like anything needs to be added here, just leave a comment and I will update the article! 

Pricing Calculator 

I personally coded the pricing calculator and I also host and maintain it myself. I am currently working on a really big upgrade that will automatically generate the mileage for any given trip allowing us to use the calculator to help speed up figuring out if a trip is worth it or not. For right Now though you have to do that part manually.

I also maintain a Github repo for it even though its a pretty simple project its nice to keep track of the history, also if any other employees would like to take a look at the code and/or make changes they can do it very easily.

3D Map of Sheboygan/Plymouth

This is a map that I made when I first started out at lakeshore, it was really helpful for me and allowed me to get my bearings. It allowed me to cement a strong representation of the area in my head. 

Regardless of if you are new to the area or not this map can be really helpful. I am also periodically updating it and looking for other things that can be added to the map.

Trip Entry Form

This is a simple for that allows us to enter trips and save them to a log, we use it for entering trips from phone calls and it has greatly reduced the amount of errors we have and has also made it much easier to find and fix the ones that do end up getting through. There is also a link to the log where all the entered trips end up.

Regular Master Schedule

This takes all of our RCS trips and groups them together based on the area they are getting picked up on, or dropped off in for the return. Especially when your first starting out you will need this to help you quickly set up the RCS groups and confirm the correct pick up orders. I personally still use it all the time. 

On the bottom of the spreadsheet there are tabs marked for each day of the week. Click them to change days, you will want to ensure you are using the correct one as the schedules differ depending on what day of the week it is.
